VIVA’s 2023 Envision Gala was held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. Alongside VIVA’s talented young artists, the evening featured performances by current and former dancers from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Broadway cast of The Lion King, the Forsythe Company, Gallim Dance, Donald Byrd/The Group, the dance captain from Cher's Dressed to Kill Tour, and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, a Chicago-based dance company uniting modern, classical, American, and African American traditions in dance and storytelling. In addition to stunning performances, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, special after-hours access to the museum, and a post-performance dance party.
