AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Saturday, September 12, 2026
The VIVA School of Dance will hold auditions on Saturday, September 12 for select openings for the 2026/2027 enrollment year.
Auditions are currently available for:
-
1st & 2nd Grade — entry into the Pre-Training Program(age 6 by Sept. 30)
-
4th–6th Grade — entry into the Pre-Professional Program
*Please note: Enrollment for all other age groups is currently at capacity.
AUDITION REGISTRATION
Prospective students should complete the Audition Registration Form. Once your submission has been received, a member of our administrative team will contact you to confirm your registration and provide audition details, including scheduling and what to expect on audition day.
Registration Deadline: September 5, 2026
Admission to The VIVA School is highly selective. Each year, a limited number of students are admitted through a competitive audition process based on demonstrated potential, artistic aptitude, and readiness for rigorous pre-professional training.
Admission is by audition only. All accepted students train on a full-merit scholarship.
PLANNING AHEAD?
If your child is not eligible for this audition cycle, we encourage you to participate in VIVA's Annual Audition on Saturday, April 17, 2027. Online registration opens January 11, 2027.
Students accepted through VIVA's Annual Audition begin their training journey in summer 2027.
WHY THE VIVA SCHOOL?
The VIVA School merges world-class dance training with leadership development to cultivate the creative leaders of tomorrow. All accepted students train on a full-merit scholarship, estimated at more than $120,000 from acceptance through high school graduation. Graduates have gained acceptance into the nation's top collegiate dance programs and conservatories, including Boston Conservatory at Berklee College, Alonzo King Lines Ballet BFA at Dominican University, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Point Park University, Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts, Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, George Mason University School of Dance, London Contemporary Dance School, Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Students at The VIVA School train year-round in ballet, contemporary, hip hop, modern, pointe, and traditional and contemporary African diasporic dance forms and are immersed in a comprehensive and exciting leadership development curriculum that promotes interdisciplinary learning and thinking. Students at VIVA work alongside master teaching artists, receive specialized classes and individualized coaching, and create a lifelong community.
