Reports To: Artistic Director & Executive Director

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Position Summary

The VIVA School seeks an enthusiastic administrator to join its growing staff. The School Registrar (SR) is an attentive and organized individual that stabilizes the school's smooth delivery of programming. Serving as a front-line staff representative, the SR is responsible for providing clear and supportive communication to students and families, organizing and administering student records, ensuring the facility is maintained in a professional and clean condition, and handling other various administrative and clerical tasks to support the growth of the school. The work of the SR ensures optimal clarity and support in communication and record keeping in order for young dancers to experience the capacity of their talent and unique artistic potential, and the preparation needed to impact a diverse, creative society.

The School Registrar reports to the Artistic & Executive Director, functions as a first point of contact between all school students, families, faculty and guests, and collaborates closely with The VIVA School’s administrative and programming staff.

Ideal Candidate

  • Resides in the US

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field 

  • 1-3  years of experience in a similar position preferred

  • A commitment to a process of learning 

  • Strong motivation and ability to work independently 

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and perform effectively under pressure

  • Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a calm and patient demeanor with all students, staff, and constituents

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Verbal and written fluency in Spanish is an added benefit.

  • Ability to diagnose and solve problems of varying complexity with a customer-focused mindset

  • Passionate about racial equity, access and inclusion, the importance of arts and culture, and innovative approaches to education

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and Google products

  • Available evenings
